REACH Compliant to Make a World of Difference
REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals and was enacted on June 1, 2007.
The REACH regulation of the European Union was passed to protect human health and the environment from the risks arising from synthetic chemicals. Additionally, it promotes alternative methods for the hazard assessment of substances in order to reduce the number of tests on animals. Besides it aims to enhance the competitiveness of the Member States chemical industry.
Companies are responsible to collect information on the properties and assess the hazards of their chemical products. They identify the uses in their supply chain and define exposure scenarios to reduce potential risks.
The Registration is based on the "one substance, one registration" principle meaning that manufacturers and importers of the same substance have the obligation to submit their registration dossier jointly.
ESIM Chemicals fully supports these goals and takes an active role in increasing the knowledge of substances and the registration – knowledge is the first step to safety.
ESIM Chemicals has taken responsibility for more than 20 substances as Lead Registrant. We are in close contact with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) and other EU authorities to compile dossiers for new substances and improve existing.
Responsible-minded and sustainable orientated companies choose ESIM Chemicals.
